Magnet Theatre visits SBCWC
The Magnet Theatre visited the shelter on the 15 May 2015 to expose young children to the world of theatre. This was a new experience for our children. The cast did not disappoint their young audience, who were engrossed in this wonderful art form. They explored the theme ”My Home” which the children related to very well.
ECD Easter Program for children at SBCWC
This Easter, Dilshaad Esau, the ECD practitioner at the Saartjie Baartman Centre engaged the children in creative activity. Part of the program was to make puppets and toys, by recycling material that would ordinarily be thrown away. The children had a great time in the program. See some of their work below:
Volunteer donates to SBCWC
Last week Friday, the intake team in the empowerment program had to say goodbye to Heather Lodahl, an American Social Work volunteer from Texas. Coca-Cola donates to SBCWC
On the 28th November 2014, Coca-Cola donated gifts to the centre and to the children residing in our shelter.
