Gender DynamiX
Gender DynamiX is the first (and currently, the only) African based organisation for the transgender community. The aim is to create awareness and visualize transgenderism. Khululeka
Khululeka is a Non-Profit Organisation which was created in February 2005 in response to large numbers of children who have lost at least one parent and/or a sibling. Khululeka supports the mental health needs of children and youth affected by HIV & AIDS and losses whilst retaining respect for cultural diversity. Khululeka promotes support groups in a safe environment. Here bereaved children and youth may learn to build trust and be able to express their feelings while embarking on a journey of healing.

Lifeline/Childline - Youth Development Programme
This programme was developed for youth in the Western Cape and operates both in and out of schools. It is funded by Lifeline/Childline together with community and school initiatives. In order to address the high incidence of teen suicide and provide much needed life skills training, the Lifeline/Childline Youth Development Team presents courses to teenagers at schools and in youth groups. Lifeline/Childline also provides counselling for children and adolescents.

REACH
REACH (Rural Education, Awareness and Community Health) is a Non-Profit Organisation which addresses sexual harassment and sexual violence on farms in the Overberg Region of the Western Cape – an area with a high prevalence of sexual harassment, rape, sexual abuse, domestic violence, alcohol and drug abuse and HIV/AIDS, and with a lack of programs and support services to address and assist those whose lives are affected by these social problems. REACH adopts an holistic approach to achieve its vision of an empowered community that is socially aware, independent, responsible, self-caring and free of sexual harassment and sexual violence.

IBN SINA INSTITUTE OF TIBB
Founded in 1997 by the Bhikha Family Trust, the Ibn Sina Institute of Tibb (commonly known as Tibb) is a public benefit organisation that promotes the training and practice of Tibb in South Africa, with an emphasis on empowering individuals to take responsibility of their own health. Tibb approaches medicine and the individual holistically, looking at the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimension of each person. As a complimentary therapy, it shares common ground with conventional medicine and traditional African medicine.
At the Saartjie Baartman Centre, the Tibb Medical Centre offers holistic medical and health care to women and youth.

Wola Nani
Wola Nani, Xhosa for ‘we embrace and develop one another’, was established in 1994 as a non-profit organisation to help bring relief to the communities hardest hit by the HIV crisis. Focusing on the needs of HIV+ women and their children, Wola Nani’s services aim to ease the burden of HIV by enabling people living with the virus to respond positively and attain the skills to develop their own coping strategies. Wola Nani works with Shelter residents and other SBC clients, providing counselling and education about HIV/AIDS, reproductive health and sexuality.
