Facts about Abuse

Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behaviour which allows one person to have power and control over another person through the use of fear and intimidation.

The abuser can be your husband or partner, your ex-husband or ex-partner, any family member, or anyone who is living, or has lived, in your house.

Material Donations

For the women in the Shelter and Second Stage Houses: bedding, clothing, curtains, furniture, non-perishable food, small appliances, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels.

For the children in the Shelter: baby formula, books, clothing, crayons, educational toys, koki pens, nappies, paper, pencils.

For the organisation: office supplies, small car for the Legal Project.

For the building and grounds: conference tables and chairs (to replace, where necessary), curtains, garden tools, lawnmower, paint, stackable plastic chairs, urn.
